Giving every chaser a chance to gain bonus points make for better racing... The only thing is that the racer would have to finish the race to get credit for the points lead in the race... I&amp;#39;m sick &amp;amp; tired of a having to finish 20th to win the champship in the last race.. Giving none of the others a even chance to win the champship... Isn&amp;#39;t this the reason behind the chase format.. to give more a chance at winning the championship.. If I get 185 point for winning the race..&amp;amp; I lead 100 laps of the race then I get 285 points.. Now that would be a swing in points... The final race would be a winner take all event... You take all the points you can.... to place the best at the end of the race... It would also not let the teamated team gang up on the other.. But have to compete for points if they are both in the running for the chase for the championship.... Where someone in fifth can come out first... If he races to get the most points... Nobody would be out of the chance to win the Championship....mjstarr23@aol.com</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/11387477/6900140749481236113/comments/default/8567561361415367391'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/11387477/6900140749481236113/comments/default/8567561361415367391'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.racedriven.com/2009/08/should-nascar-points-system-and-chase.html?showComment=1256052689430#c8567561361415367391' title=''/><author><name>Anonymous</name><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='http://img1.blogblog.com/img/blank.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://www.racedriven.com/2009/08/should-nascar-points-system-and-chase.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11387477.post-6900140749481236113' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/11387477/posts/default/6900140749481236113' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-458853230'/></entry></feed>
