Now that's racin: Two big winners -- Kurt Busch and Fernando Alonso

Now Thats Racin with two exciting races in Phoenix for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Race and San Marino for Formula 1.

Under the lights on Saturday night, 1 mile race track, many cautions, rain in the forcast was a receipe for a great race and when it was all said and done, it was Kurt Busch taking the victory after holding off a very hard charging Michael Waltrip in Subway Fresh 500 at PIR. Jeff Burton finshed 3rd with his first top 5 for RCR, Dale Earnhardt finishing 4th after going tight in the closing laps and Brian Vickers his best run all season and leading last night topped off with a top 5. All in all, good race.

Sunday in San Marino for the Formula 1 race brought the best race of the season with Fernando Alonso picking up his 3rd victory in a row, after holding off the champion Michael Schumacher for 15 laps of bumper to bumper action and a margin of victory of 0.2 second in one of the closes finishes I have seen in a long time. This is one race for the record books and with Ferrari coming back to finsh second, can Michael Schumacher, after talking all weekend long about this is the weekend were we win and make a run for championship, can he do it? or ?

Greg Biffle and Kasey Kahne wins in Texas

Where at Texas Motor Speedway where NASCAR has taken center stage for a good old fashion Texas Shootout.

The big story this morning in the garage area was the penilty on Johnny Sauter #1 car getting disqualified (removed from the results, no points, no prize money..) after finishing 14th in the Busch race, when NASCAR found in post race inspection a too big carburetor. What a penilty after finishing 14th! The team will most likely appeal this decision and what effect will this penilty have on everyone else?

In the Nextel Cup Series, After going to a backup car, Greg Biffle has won the Samsung/RadioShack 500 for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and in dominating fashion Kasey Kahne wins the O'Reilly 300 for the Busch Series.

As qualifying has come to a close in Texas for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series, it was no surprise to anyone, with Rocketman Ryan Newman scoring his 30th bud pole for Sunday's Samsung/RadioShack 500 at Texas Motor Speedway over Jeremy Mayfield with the top 3 being Dodges. Dale Earnhardt Jr. has qualified 11th and Rusty Wallace is 6th in Rusty's Last Call running a yellow Kodak/Miller Lite sponsored paint scheme.

Shane Hmiel has grabbed the pole for Saturday's Busch Race over Martin Truex Jr.

Truck Series & Champ Car World Series

Its another weekend and we are in Martinsville and Long Beach, in Martinsville with the truck series racing 250 laps around the paper clip martinsville speedway and after the bumping and hitting was over and the dust had finally cleared, it was anyother green-white-checkered finish with Bobby Labonte going into the record books with winning in the Truck, Busch, and Cup Series over Ricky Craven running on three tire, with the fourth tire flat and Ron Hornaday Jr. coming up in 3rd.

While in Long Beach for the Champ Car World Series and no surprise, Paul Tracy had picked up were he left off with grabbing the pole for tomorrows Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach with a record setting run of 1:07.485 (104.983 mph).

See you tomorrow......

What a weekend... Kevin Harvick, Wheldon & Alonso wins

Kevin Harvick wins both Sundays Sharpie 500 and Mondays Sharpie 250 in a hard charging fashion.

Postponed NASCAR Busch Series Sharpies 250, due to rain..... to monday morning

Its Monday, Its Bristol for the NASCAR Busch Series, the busch guys and the Bristol Stomp. The busch series race was not a walk in the park, but after 14 cautions, a red flag, and even a green-white-checkered finish, Kevin Harvick held off his hard charging (but clean driver) teammate Jeff Burton, to win for the second time this weekend in the Sharpies 250, but not everyone left happy, or even with a clean racecar, the biggest moment of the race was when the final caution came out after Dale Jarrett slowed low on track to avoid an accident and got hit in drivers rear by Shane Hmiel, but during the red flag, Dale Jarrett walked back from his wrecked racecar and over to Shane Hmiel car and with the tv in-car camera on, talked (only) to Hmiel to voice his displeaser of the accident and got nothing from Hmiel. Up to that point, Hmiel had been marching through the field and giving 3-4+ cars the bump and run and after the race had nothing "smart" to say in post race comments. What a race......... monday in bristol.....

My Comments: NASCAR needs to take a close look at Shane Hmiel, the in-car footage and his driving.....

Kevin Harvick wins the Food City 500 at Bristol in a caution filled race and without his crew chief over Elliott Sadler and Tony Stewart for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series. The IRL, running there first street course/road course event of the season, Dan Wheldon pulls off the victory, after passing his teammate Tony Kanaan on Lap 91, in the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Formula One, Fernando Alonso win for the 2nd time this season from the pole in the GP of Bahrain and giving Renault, three wins, in three races in 2005.

American Chopper

On American Chopper, a couple of weeks ago, Paul Jr. decided to create a new theme bike called Web Bike aka Junior's Dream Bike. This bike was created in a series of web/spider theme bikes. His first & second web inspired theme bike was the Spider bike and the Black Widow bike.

This Web Bike (aka Junior's Dream Bike) has a little difference to it then the first two bikes, this bike has more webing and the gas tank is not on top, its in the back and can only hold a gallon of gas or so. What a bike, green and black and the rider can look straight down at the engine while riding.

American Chopper has two new theme bikes being built starting this week:
1. Cat bike - April 4th 10pm Discovery
2. Gillette bike

Also, Orange County Choppers has launched there new website, check it out.. OCC Site

More to come in future postings.
